Olive Egger Hatching Eggs

This is a PRE-ORDER that will be ready for pickup or shipment in September and October. Once your order is ready, you will be notified via email. All orders for pickup can be picked up in Queen Creek off Brenner Pass and Judd.

Orders will be fulfilled in the order they were placed. 

Our Olive Egger breeding program is focused on producing beautiful, earthy egg colors—from soft sage and mossy olive to deep olive and richly speckled shades. Because Olive Eggers are a hybrid, every chick inherits a unique combination of egg color genetics.

While most pullets from this pairing will mature to lay shades of olive or green, a small percentage may surprise you with gorgeous deep chocolate brown eggs instead. This happens naturally when the dark brown egg genetics are expressed more strongly than the blue egg genetics.

We consider this one of the joys of raising Olive Eggers—no two hens are exactly alike, and each one brings her own unique color to the egg basket. Whether your hen lays olive, khaki, sage, or rich dark brown eggs, you'll have a beautiful layer with the friendly personality and exceptional egg-laying qualities Olive Eggers are known for.

Please note: The color of the hatching egg does not predict the color of eggs the chick will lay as an adult. Hatching egg shell color reflects the mother hen's egg, while each chick inherits a unique combination of genetics from both parents. A chick hatched from a dark brown egg may grow up to lay beautiful shades of olive or green, just as a chick from an olive egg may mature into a hen that lays a different earthy shade. This genetic diversity is part of what makes Olive Eggers so exciting!
